Patti Newman is the Life Enrichment Director in our Memory Care Unit at Kingston Residence of Marion. She has 19 years of experience with 17 years of that being employed with Kingston. The favorite part of her job is seeing the joy on the resident’s faces when they are telling their life stories and bringing up memories they haven’t talked about in years. The residents are so full of wisdom and knowledge. Showing respect to the residents is probably one of the most important parts of her job. We work in their home, give them the respect they deserve. It is very important to make a positive difference in the daily routine of the residents. Family is a top priority in Patti’s life. She loves spending time with her husband, 2 children and her 6 grandchildren. The grandchildren definitely keep her on her toes, but she wouldn’t change a thing.
