How Aid & Attendance Can Make Senior Living More Affordable
At Kingston Residence of Marion, we believe in honoring those who have served. That’s why we’re helping veterans and their spouses access the benefits they’ve earned through the Aid & Attendance program.
Aid & Attendance is a tax-free benefit for wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who cover senior care costs, such as assisted living and memory care.
To receive this benefit, veterans and their spouses must apply through the VA. Once approved, they will need to provide proof of their benefit approval to Kingston Residence of Marion to apply it toward their care.

Who Qualifies for This Program?
To qualify for Aid & Attendance, you must:
- Have served at least 90 days of active duty, with one day during time of war.
- Be at least 65+ or live with a disability.
- Have a discharge status other than “dishonorable.”
Surviving spouses may qualify if they lived with the veteran at the time of their passing and are single when applying. Liquid assets, including 401K, stocks, and savings, are considered for eligibility.
